Hello KSA members,

We hope that everyone is doing well. On Wednesday, December 9th, we will have our last members meeting for this semester. At our members meeting, we will have a relaxing day by watching a Korean movie (If you’re wondering about the movie, it is a surprise). The meeting will be held at BH 249 from 4PM - 7PM. We hope you can join us.

Hello KSA members!

We hope everyone is doing well. This month we have some upcoming events. This month we have;

• KSA Korean BBQ Sale - We will sale Korean BBQ along with kimchi and rice. We will sale food all week next week near Malcolm X plaza.
• KSA Language Night - Want to learn Korean? Well, this is your chance to learn the language. Language nights will be held every Thursday from 4 - 5PM at BH 236.
• KSA Members Meeting - We will have a meeting on October 14 from 5:30 - 7PM at HUM 126.
• KSA Karaoke Night - We will have karaoke night on October 22 from 5 - 7PM. We will meet at the KSA office on Thursday at 4:30PM and then we will go to the karaoke place as a group at 5PM. We will be going to K-Box, located on 870 Taraval Street. The price will be $5 but if you bring friends, the price will be reduced. The is a sign up sheet near the KSA office door, so if you are interested, please sign up.

Ms. Kyoungil Ong , founder of The Ong Dance Company , a recipient of the 2005 Ethnic Dance Choreography Commission Award from World Arts West and The San Francisco Foundation. Ms. Ong has performed on numerous occasions in the SF International Ethnic Festival; Asian Art Museum; Minsok Festival; Asian Heritage Street Festival; and other venues throughout the greater Bay Area.

Hello members!

We will be having our KSA open house this Thursday, September 17th from 7PM - 8 PM. During our open house, we will be talking about KSA to new members. We will also talk about future events from KSA.

On Sept. 19, from 11:30 AM-6:30 PM, the first annual KoreaTown-Northgate Festival will showcase the diverse cultures and business opportunities in the district. And a multi-cultural BBQ contest will be part of the fun!

Location: Telegraph between 24th & 27th Streets (ride BART to the 19th Street Station)

Purpose: To create an awareness of the KoreaTown-Northgate District as a Bay Area destination in Oakland, CA and promote commerce in the area; to highlight the different cultures and fabric of the community.
