About Us



What is KSA?
The Korean Student Association was established after the Third World Liberation Front Student Strike in 1968. This strike established the first school of Ethnic Studies in the nation, thus creating the first KSA in the nation.

What is KSA’s Goal?
Our main purpose is to promote the educational enrichment of its members and throughout the university community with all aspects of Korean culture and Korean American perspectives.

Who can join KSA?
Anyone may join KSA, as long as they express interest in Korean culture and are affiliated with San Francisco State University. Everyone is encouraged to participate in KSA activities throughout the semester.

What do we do?
We have various events which are both cultural and social to make KSA an organization that creates positive steps towards understanding Korean Culture, and the Korean American identity in the Bay Area.
